The Recurring Dream
A story from EnglandThe plot is set in England. The main character is Kimberly Clark. She is a young and pretty women who lives in London and works in a large company. She is font of dancing and making friends.
Kim has a problem, however, she sees a mysterious dream about an unfamiliar person and place every night. The dream is really discomforting for her.
In her dream, Kim stands on a country road. She goes along a lane with a white fence and a hedge on each side. At the end of the lane on the top of a little hill, she sees a small white cottage with green shutters. She enters the house and in one of the rooms, she sees and old man with white hair and beard sleeping in bed. When Kim approaches his bed, the old man wakes up. Before she tries to talk to him, she wakes up and finds herself in the bed.
Kim shares her problem with her roommate Janet. In order to unchain from the dream, one day Kim and Janet plan to set out to Janet's parent's farm in the country for a few days. While they are driving along the countryside road, Kim sees the same house of her dream. She finds everything similar to her dream except a FOR SALE signboard. Fearfully, she knocks at the door and the same man of her dream opens it. In the conversation, Kim is informed that the house is haunted by a ghost most nights. When Kim inquires about the ghost, the old man says "Its you".
SUPERNATURAL EXPLANATION OF THE STORY:
There are two common explanation of the story. First, when Kim dreams, she sends her thoughts to the old man. This means when Kim is dreaming, the old man thinks he is seeing a ghost. The second explanation is that when Kim dreams, her spirit leaves her body and visits the old man's house. Kim's spirit, then, appears to the old man in the form of ghost.
