The loving mother
The plot is set in Japan and the story is about a dead mother who would like to rescue her child. One stormy winter night, Shoji Sakota was preparing his annual business reports in his pharmacy. At around midnight, he heard a knock on the door. Disregarding the knock, he continued his work but when he heard two more knocks, he became conscious. Thinking that someone might be in emergency, he unlocked the door. To his surprise, a thin women appeared in front of him. The women had worn kimono, she had very strange eyes and her skin was abnormally light. When Sakota let her in, she asked for an ame (candy) for her baby and disappeared in the darkness.
The next two nights the same women made regular trips at the same time for the same thing. Her strange appearance at night for an ordinary demand surprised Sakota.
In order to make further inquiry about the mysterious women, Mr. Sakota invited his photographer friend to take photos of her. After developing the film, the most surprising result was that the photos shows the furniture but not the women. The event made them more inquisitive.
On the forth night, too the women came with the identical demand. Mr. Sakota and his friend chased the women but it seemed to them that the women did not opposed/respond to their follow-up. Finally, the women reached an old apartment and disappeared. They entered the room where the same women seemed to be sleeping with an eight or nine month baby who was sucking ame and laying happily. Then Mr. Sakota touched the women he came in conclusion that the women had died a numbers of days.
Supernatural Explanation of the Story:-
The women who makes regular visits of Mr. Sakota’s pharmacy is the spirit of the dead mother. The major reason of her visits is that she is dead and worried about her baby. Her regular appearance in Sakota’s pharmacy is very symbolical and meaningful. It says that her child should be rescued.
